Introducing An Accidental Theologian!
I’m Rose – a lifelong learner, educator, and curious soul who never planned to become a theologian but found myself shaped by the questions I couldn’t stop asking.
My journey has taken me from teaching a third-grade Sunday School class at sixteen, to seminary, to twelve years in Christian higher education and administration. I’m continually fascinated by the ways faith and everyday life intersect.
You won’t find sugar-coated spirituality or surface-level inspiration here. My work is grounded in study, shaped by experience, and rooted in a deep respect for Scripture. I write for those who are hungry for substance – thoughtful engagement with faith, honest questions, and insights that go deeper than clichés.
As an Enneagram 5, I love research, reading, writing, and discovering new ideas. I’m inspired by both academic inquiry and the ordinary rhythms of daily life. My Midwestern roots – wide-open skies, country roads, and changing seasons – continue to anchor me. I’m also a proud mom of two adult daughters, one son-in-law, and four delightful grandchildren.
An Accidental Theologian is my space to wonder, wrestle, and explore how faith shapes our becoming. I’m grateful to have you here on the journey.
